Gujarati famous food Khaman Dhokla
Just by looking at the name, Khaman Dhokla food suggests an appetizer from Gujarat. As was already said, Gujarati food has a slightly sweet and salty flavor. Khaman Dhokla is a nutritious, steamed vegetarian gram flour snack from Gujarat in Western India, but it is popular all over the country. It is a delightful and healthy steaming snack made with freshly ground lentils and chickpea flour. To make the khaman, the khaman flour mixture is cooked with salt, baking soda, and turmeric to make it light and fluffy. Following the cubing, it is typically garnished with sev, chopped onions, coriander leaves, and mustard seeds. The modern, urban version of the dish, which is traditionally served on a huge green leaf known as the Kesuda, is served in newspapers in farsan (snack) shops with sour chutneys and numerous chunks of green chilli. Khaman is frequently adapted into dishes like Ameri khaman (mashed khaman topped with sev and pomegranate), Nylon khaman (softer, quickly cooking khaman), and Masala khaman (khaman served with a variety of spices) and green chillies.
