What is Ageing?

Genetically determined skin ageing is referred to as intrinsic ageing, whereas ageing brought on by the environment is referred to as extrinsic ageing or photo-ageing. People frequently develop fine wrinkles and a thinner epidermis (the skin’s outer layer) when they get older.

In order to restore the various layers of skin, anti-ageing is a therapeutic procedure that involves several steps. Demand for healthier alternatives to traditional anti-ageing skincare techniques is rising.

What are the  Symptoms of Ageing?

  • Fine lines about the mouth, neck, and eyes.
  • Skin becomes more fragile, brittle, and thin.
  • Skin sagging, particularly on the face and neck and in other places hand skin that is too loose.

Home Remedies for Anti-Ageing

Banana

Potassium, vitamins and natural oils are abundant in it. They prevent a sagging appearance by reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

How to use it?

  • Take some bananas, and make a smooth paste out of them.
  • Gently apply the paste on a clean face. 
  • Leave it for 15-20 minutes. 
  • Rinse it off with warm water.

  • For better results, use this remedy once a week.
Papaya and Honey

Papayas can be eaten, but for beautiful skin, you must apply a combination. 

How to use it?

  • Simply, smash and grind papaya until it is smooth. It is quite easy to make. 
  • Comparable a small amount of honey into this to moisturise your skin. 
  • Put it on your face, then wait for 25 minutes. 

Tips

  • For best results, perform this routinely, at least twice a week.
Coconut Oil

The skin gets a natural glow and lustre from coconut oil. As coconut oil is nourishing and hydrating for the skin, using it frequently will assist to reduce wrinkles and lines. It significantly improves the skin’s suppleness.

How to use it?

  • Take some drops of coconut oil and gently massage the skin in a circular motion for a few minutes. 
  • Prevent the oil overnight and wash it off the next morning with lukewarm water. 

Tips

  • Repeat this each night before going to sleep.
Cucumber

In cucumber, 95% of the water is present, along with a lot of vitamins and minerals. Hyaluronic acid and elastin must be retained in order to keep skin firm, and cucumber aids in this process. 

How to use it?

  • The cucumber should be shredded once the seeds are removed.
  • Squeeze the grated cucumber for the cucumber juice.
  • Apply this to the entire surface of your face after gently cleansing it.
  • Following a natural drying process, rinse it with water.

Tips:

  • Frequent this process daily for the best results.
  • You will notice a visible reduction in wrinkles and dark circles after a few treatments.
Egg White

It’s widely believed that eggs are very healthy. As it turns out, the skin benefits greatly from it as well. Only the egg whites must be used; the yolk must be set aside. Your skin will become tighter and wrinkle-free. 

This remedy is particularly beneficial for those with oily skin because egg white also helps to clear blocked pores and absorbs excess sebum from the skin.

How to use it?

  • Whisk the egg white and use it as a mask by putting it on your face. 
  • Leave it for 30 minutes.
  • Either scrape it off or simply wash it away. 

Tips:

  • If you do it frequently, your pores will eventually get smaller as well.
Pineapple for Anti-Ageing

An enzyme included in pineapple helps to increase skin suppleness and eliminates dead and damaged skin cells, among other substances. Additionally, it improves skin moisture, giving the skin a clear appearance.

How to use it?

  • Make a juice of pineapple in a blender after carefully peeling it.
  • Apply this juice with a clean cotton ball to the skin that is sagging.
  • After 15-20 minutes, rinse it off.
Castor Oil Anti-Ageing

Castor oil is not only an emollient but also helps the skin’s elastin and collagen formation. This causes the wrinkles and fine lines to gradually fade and eventually disappear.

How to use it?

  • Use lukewarm water to wash your face, then pat it dry.
  • Apply some drops of castor oil lightly all over your face after rubbing between your palms.
  • The oil is distributed equally across your face by the natural heat of your body.
  •  Wash your face the next morning after leaving it on overnight.

You can use it with –

  • Coconut Oil
  • Almond oil
  • Turmeric.
Vitamin E oil for Anti-Ageing

Vitamin E is believed to hydrate and freshen your skin, because of its antioxidants and skin-hydrating abilities. Additionally, it provides a soothing and photoprotective impact on the skin. This restores the skin’s vitality and reduces wrinkles.

How to use it?

  • Take some vitamin E capsules and pierce the capsule, then pour the oil inside into a bowl. Open as many capsules as necessary to cover the afflicted region.
  • Apply this oil all over the face.
  • Gently massage for 5-7 minutes.
  • Leave it overnight.
  • Rinse it off the next morning.

Tips

  • The optimum time to complete this is right before bedtime every night.
Jojoba Oil for Anti-Ageing

Jojoba oil and the natural oil that the skin produces are quite similar. It easily penetrates the skin and lubricates it. Regular application reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

How to use it?

  • Take some drops of Jojoba oil and gently apply them to the skin.
  • Massage it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Leave it overnight.
  • Wash your face the following day with warm water.
  • Do this daily for the best result. 
Turmeric and Sugarcane for Anti-Ageing

Sugarcane and turmeric work together to inhibit skin loosening. Glycolic acid found in sugarcane juice eliminates dead skin cells, while turmeric has healing effects that help the skin seem younger.

How to use it?

  • Combine the sugarcane juice and turmeric powder to form a paste. Ensure thorough mixing to avoid lumps.
  • Apply and let it sit for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • Use warm water to rinse.
  • Two times a week, use this mask for the best result.

Some other remedies for Anti-Ageing

  • Protect from Sun: Every day, shield your skin from the sun. When spending the day at the beach or running errands, sun protection is crucial. 

By finding shade, wearing sun-protective clothes, and using broad-spectrum, SPF 30 (or greater), water-resistant sunscreen, you can protect your skin. Every day, you should apply sunscreen on any exposed skin that isn’t covered by clothing.

  • Do not smoke: stop smoking if you do. Smoking dangerously hastens the ageing process of the skin. It results a lifeless complexion.
  • Gently cleanse your skin: Cleaning it with a scrubber can irritate it. Skin ageing is accelerated by irritation. Without harming your skin, gentle washing helps eliminate pollution, makeup, and other chemicals.
  • Wash face twice a day: Wash your face twice daily and just after you’ve perspired a lot. You need immediately cleanse your skin after sweating since perspiration irritates the skin, especially when wearing a hat or helmet.
  • Apply moisturiser daily: Every day, moisturise your face. With water in our skin, moisturiser makes it look younger.
  • Eat up a nutritious, balanced diet: According to the results of a few studies, eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables may help avoid the harm that causes early skin ageing. Research findings also point to the probability that a diet high in sugar or other refined carbs may hasten age.
  • Don’t drink much alcohol: Alcohol causes skin irritation. skins become dehydrated as a result, eventually causing injury. This may age us more noticeably.
  • Exercise daily: Try to work out most days of the week. As per results from a few research indicate that light exercise can increase immunity and enhance circulation. This may then result in the skin seeming more youthful.
