  • Inadequate water intake: Water is one of the essential fluids the body needs at all times. It aids in the release of toxins as well as maintaining the skin’s moisture. Increase your water intake and watch as the dark circles disappear mysteriously.
  • Insomnia: Dark circles might develop as a result of insomnia, which causes irregular sleep cycles or short sleep cycles. Therefore, maintaining a balanced lifestyle while getting enough rest is essential.

Potatoes

Unexpectedly, potatoes are a rich source of vitamin C, which is fantastic for the synthesis of collagen and, among other things, helps to produce healthier, younger-looking skin.

How to use it?

  • Grate some potatoes and apply the juice under the eye.
  • Leave it for 5 minutes 
  • Rinse it off. 
  • Do this process for at least two weeks for better results.

Cold Milk

Cold milk helps to soothe irritated skin and is a natural eye cleaner. Lactic acid, which is present in cold milk and helps to brighten the skin and minimize puffiness.

Additionally, milk’s potassium concentration helps the skin retain moisture for a longer period of time, resulting in skin that is softer and smoother.

It is a fantastic source of vitamin A, which has retinoids that are excellent for maintaining healthy, youthful skin.

 

         How to use it?

  • Firstly, take a cotton ball, and dip it in cold milk.
  • Apply a cotton ball to the eye area and leave it for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes, rinse the eyes with cold water. 
  • Repeat this at least three times a week.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera works well as a moisturizer. Healthy hydration will prolong the skin’s life and reduce its susceptibility to sagging. Aloe vera also aids in hydrating the skin and preventing the onset of ageing symptoms.

How to use it?

  • Lightly apply Aloe Vera gel underneath your eyes.
  • Gently massage for 5-7 minutes before going to bed. 
  • If you don’t feel sticky or uncomfortable, do not rinse.
  • Do this for at least two weeks.

Cucumber

This is unquestionably one of the best treatments. Slices of cucumber can be used to naturally treat raccoon eyes since they have skin-lightening and mild astringent characteristics.

They also aid in reducing the puffiness around the eyes. Vitamins, antioxidants, and this vegetable’s anti-inflammatory properties aid to lessen inflammation around the eyes and prevent darkening.

How to use it?

  • Slice up a fresh cucumber thickly, then refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
  • Allow the slices to rest on your eyes for a further ten minutes.
  • Use warm water to rinse your eyes after using.

                                       Or,

  • Place some grated cucumber on your eyelids for 8-10 minutes and then rinse it off. 
  • As an alternative, you can also squeeze cucumber juice. 
  • Soak a cotton ball in the juice, then place it over your eyes.
  • Make sure to completely round the area with the product.
  • After one to three minutes, rinse it off with cold water. 

      Tips

  • If only Cucumber does not work for you then try mixing equal parts cucumber juice and lemon juice and applying it to your under-eye circles with a cotton ball. Rinse your skin with warm water after 15 minutes.

Cold Compress

Cool spoons should be placed over your eyes to help constrict dilated blood vessels. Dark circles and puffy eyes may appear less noticeable as a result.

Tomatoes

Tomatoes are used as a natural bleaching agent. Lycopene, an antioxidant that is great for the skin, eyes, and heart, is abundant in tomatoes. 

Additionally, antioxidants found in them aid in reducing discoloration around the eyes which can also help make skin smoother and more elastic.

How to use it?

  • Take some tomato juice & lemon juice.
  • Mix them and apply them under the eye. 
  • Leave it for 10 to 15  minutes and then rinse it off with cold water.
  • Repeat the process thrice a week for better results.

Tips

You can also use mint leaves along with tomato and lemon to get rid of dark circles.

Cold Tea Bags

One of the most effective and easy methods to eliminate these dark circles is to use cold tea bags. Try chamomile or green tea bags for the quickest results. The residual caffeine’s capacity to constrict blood vessels and reduce blood flow may help reduce some extent in reducing dark circles.

A further advantage of many teas, such as green tea, is their antioxidant content, which has anti-inflammatory properties and can help relax stressed capillaries in your under-eye area.

How to use it?

  • Firstly, take the tea bags and soak them in fresh water.
  • After soaking, put it in the fridge for 30 minutes to use as a compress. 
  • After that, apply the tea bags to your eyes. 
  • Leave for about 10 minutes. Rinse it with lukewarm water.
  • Do this twice a day.

Rose Water

Rosewater is reviving and revitalizing, and it works on practically all skin types and conditions. It also functions well as a skin toner and has a mildly astringent quality.

How to use it?

  • You should soak a cotton pad in rose water.
  • Place cotton eye pads on the eyelids for 10-15 minutes.
  •  Repeat each night for a month for the best results.

Vitamin E oil

By halting the damage, vitamin E oil can help prevent or minimize the severity of dark circles. The effects of free radicals, which lead to aging symptoms like wrinkles, are combated by vitamin E.

How to use it?

  • Take some drops of oil and apply it under the eye.
  • Gently massage the oil into the skin. 
  • Apply this to your skin overnight, then in the morning, rinse with warm water.

Tips

  • For better results, you can also add a drop of coconut oil with vitamin E oil.
